James Clay and Tyler Cooke finished sixth in the Street Tuner class driving the No. 84 BimmerWorld Racing BMW 328i in the Aug. 5th IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race at Road America, in Elkhart Lake, Wis. The first hour of the race pointed toward a much better outcome as Clay led the majority of the first half of the race from the class pole. Unfortunately, minutes after pitting to hand off to Cooke the race was yellow-flagged for rain and then red-flagged for lightening in the area and ultimately stopped with only one hour and seven minutes complete. The No. 81 BimmerWorld Racing BMW 328i of Ari Balogh and Greg Liefooghe finished 11th. Michael Johnson and Stephen Simpson finished 15th in the No. 54 JDC – Miller Motorsports BMW 228I.The ST win went to the No. 25 Mazda MX-5.
Round 8 of the 2017 CTSC series will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26 at Virginia International Raceway, in Alton, Va..
