BMW CCA’s longest running annual chapter event. Forty-Seven years and going strong.
This year’s Humpa Picnic will be different but no less enjoyable. Here is an opportunity to get out of the house to gather with fellow BMW enthusiasts in the great outdoors. JB Williams Park offers an expansive venue to ensure plenty of room for social distancing while enjoying old friends and meeting new ones.
Participants are asked to bring your own food and beverages. Due to Covid 19 the CT Valley Chapter will not be supplying any food or beverages for the event.
Door prizes will be handed out during the event by the CT Valley Chapter.
Participants must follow the current CDC Guidelines for the state of Connecticut
Masks and Face Coverings: Pursuant to Executive Order No. 7NNN, masks or cloth face coverings that cover a person’s nose and mouth are required to be worn when in public and a six-foot distance is unavoidable, whether indoors or outdoors. This does not apply to anyone for whom doing so would be contrary to their health because of a medical condition. Guidance on face coverings has been issued to the state’s businesses. Travel Advisory: A travel advisory is currently in effect for anyone entering Connecticut from states with high community spread of COVID-19. Click here for detailed information on the travel advisory. |
Gatherings: The current rules for gatherings, which went into effect on July 3, 2020 and will remain in effect until further notice, is as follows: Indoor private gatherings – 25 people Outdoor private gatherings – 100 people, one time exception for graduations at 150 people Outdoor organized gatherings (e.g. fireworks, concerts in municipal parks) – 15 feet of space blanket to blanket, cap of 500 people. Event organizer responsible for compliance with guidance. Outdoor event venues (e.g. amphitheaters, race tracks) – 25% of fire capacity and distancing Fairs, festivals, and carnivals – up to 25% of last years attendance |

There is no fee for this event however we hope you will contribute $5.00 or more per adult by cash or check (no change will be available) to the Lewy Body Dementia Association in memory of John W. Bisset. John was a charter member of the CT Valley chapter who served the BMW CCA CVC for more than forty years.
The event is held rain or shine Sunday September 13, 2020 at JB Williams Park 705 Neipsic Rd, Glastonbury, CT 06033 Gates open at 11:00am.
