Do The Brew Reviewby Sheila Morin
Not planned initially, but due to many requests and the cooperation of Scott Scanlon, one of the partners in this establishment, those wishing, were given a tour of the brewery itself and allowed an opportunity to learn a little bit about what occurs in the process of making beer. This is a very small brewery, but has won many awards and they are planning to open another larger location in the Torrington, CT area in the near future. I hope that everyone who attended enjoyed the day and for the beer drinkers, I hope you enjoyed the different samples.

On August 3rd, the Chapter hosted a Do the Brew beer tasting over lunch at the Cambridge House, a micro-brewery in Granby, CT. We were treated to six varieties of their beers as well as soda, for the non-beer drinkers, while enjoying a hearty, pub-style lunch.
