DOES DZ ADVERTISING PAY OFF?

WILL I BENEFIT FROM SPONSORING A CVC EVENT?

These questions are something that prospective advertisers and sponsors are always asking themselves. Here’s a recent example of the benefits of both that is just too good to pass up, without passing it along.

The Chapter was contacted by a BMW CCA member named Heather from the Houston, TX Chapter who had her M3 totaled when another driver hit her car. Her search for a replacement took her to a car here in CT. She was contacting us to see if we knew of anyone who would be qualified to do a pre-purchase inspection. Enter Mike Zarolinski and Bavarian Auto Check. Mike’s new business had graciously agreed to be a sponsor at our Bring More Wax Show & Shine and he provided all of the food and drink for the day. Since pre-purchase inspections is exactly what his business does, of course his name came to mind and I wrote back to TX with the suggestion that Heather contact him.

Heather did contact him and then after a few days wrote back to me to say how pleased she had been with Mike’s service and his professionalism. Based on his assessment, she decided to buy the car, but now asked, “I hope I’m not pushing my luck, but could you recommend someone to ship the car to TX?” Well, it just so happens that another Chapter member, Zyg Winiarski, has been given the responsibility of getting the new FedEx Auto Transport service up and running, and since he decided to advertise in the DZ, I decided to recommend them. I had heard some good things about their service from other sources, so I was comfortable with the recommendation. A few days later, I received an e-mail from Zyg thanking me for the referral and letting me know that she was going to use their service and the car was being shipped within a few days.

So yes, advertising in the DZ or sponsoring an event can pay off. If you have a business or can provide a service, perhaps you too, could benefit.
