BIKE TRIP FOLLOW-UP!

On Sunday, September 17th we had a perfect day for a bike ride as several members met in Simsbury, CT and pedaled south towards Farmington. Along the way, we ran into Steve Wasley who had started from his home in Farmington, CT and headed north to meet up with the group. Steve rode back south with us as far as the river and then, after a brief rest, we all turned back north. On the return trip north, Jim and Maria Hurczyn were spotted heading south a good pace, having gotten a late start due to another commitment that morning. In the end, Steve rode back north further than he had intended before heading back south to Farmington, but the rest of us, including the Hurczyns, who made up a lot of ground by pedaling faster, all met back in Simsbury, loaded up our bikes and adjourned to a café, where we were able to enjoy lunch out on the patio. Unfortunately, many of us may have replaced more calories than we burned during the 18 mile trek, but at least we tried.
